Loving this so far. But for a "cozy" adventure game, something pretty horrific happens in the first 5 minutes! Come on! I was expecting something more like Kyrandia, Hand of Fate :)
Recently played Book I and immediately bought Book II too. Lovely little games! Great aesthetics in art direction, the music is especially fitting, and the story kept me hooked til the end. Very inspirational too. :)
Would you consider putting this game on the AtarI VCS? It's a Linux based console that released in 2021. A game like this would standout and would sell on the VCS I think!
Ah, fun idea. Don't think it'd work great with console controls though really. Could do virtual cursor, but I don't think that'd have the right feel for a retro console
The Atari VCS is a PC console hybrid. It has a cellphone app that allows a digital keyboard, or real keyboards could be used. They re-released a few dos games but they're all war simulators. I really think your games would stand out. I'm a fan of the console. Can never hurt to try or as you said (cursor icon). There's a classic controller based on the 2600 that's fun and could be easy to use to the cursor idea. But then there is the modern controller too. I love these types of games personally. :) Haven't finished with book too but it came to mind that these would be great on the VCS. They're retro inspired. Great narrative. Great graphics. Loads of fun!
It´s been over a month since I played Book 1 and 2 but I can´t stop thinking about the game. Absolutley loved the atmosphere, the characters and music. The twists in this one were fantastic and the story really had me in its clasp! So incrediblly excited for a possible continuation
I absolutely adore this series, and all Powerhoof games! Your style is so fun and it's so cool to get to play games with this sort of style as someone who doesn't have much access to actual retro point-and-click games. I'm super excited for the next chapter!
I just finished both books and gosh am I in love with it. I've always wondered what the appeal of point and clicks were until I found this gem. Highly recommend! Great job on this game Powerhoof.
What a climax! Couldn't put Book1 & 2 down and finished both in one go. So fun carrying all these random objects and finally finding a use for them. It's amazing how much life and lore you've managed to bake into this world already. The wait for Book 3 is going to be a hard journey... :))
BROOO THIS IS SO GOOD WHAT i loved everything!! the characters, the playability, THE ENDING GOD 1000/1000, i'll be looking forward to how it continues :) <3
The update added a lot to the adventure! IMHO it succeeded at being even better than the first book. I especially loved the additional world-building and finale. The music, dialogues, and animations really bring it to life. Can't wait for the next one!
Can't wait to finish this! I played through the first one a few weeks back and had a great time with this one when I found it. Strangely it took a bit of trouble to find. I couldn't see it on your itch.io page and only found it by looking up Telwynium book two on google.
Also I found a glitch when I tried to restore my game after I got to the current ending. The music stopped and I couldn't close the window. It was a bit odd.
Despite those minor gripes, can't wait to see where the series goes from here.
Yeah I've been waiting until I finish book 2 properly before I make it more public on itch. That save was mainly intended for when you update to the finished version so hopefully works ok then! I'll test it to make sure. I can always just make a save game up to that point for people though anyway.
I absolutely loved the second installment of this game! Considering that you said you ran out of time, I think it was ended off fantastically! I'm very keen for the updated part 2.
love this so far! looking forward to the end. I do think the puzzles in this were harder than book 1, I'm not really a fan of hard puzzles in adventure games when the difficulty ends up being a lot of clicking around. Things like getting the corkscrew or sawing the handrail were just really easy to miss. I think maybe just some extra written lines would go a long way - the type of lines you already have sometimes like "this railing looks like it would make a great tool if i could cut some off" or "the waiter placed the corkscrew and the wine on the table". It's just very easy to miss stuff graphically, so I ended up checking the guide several times. Still though - really loving the story and art, great characters, really great homage to the old games.
Totally agree. I'm trying to fix up most of those in the update. The gamejam version suffered from lack of testing, just didn't have time to check what I needed to add a bit more direction for.
Glad we got to see a continuation of the story and the return of some familiar as well as new characters. Like the first book, it feels part of an epic storyline with lore well beyond what we get to see and explore in the game. Really looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us in the post-jam update and/or Book 3.
I've always had a soft spot for SCI0 style graphics and the subtle CRT shader makes it even better (though I do also appreciate having the option to turn it off). Especially the head and hand at the peak are really good.
Brandon did great work with the music as well. Long live the MT-32.
Thanks SHDon! I really love drawing in this style. I think for Book 3 I'll have to scope down again so I can actually get it done, bit off too much for this one! I'm thinking about having you play from some other characters perspective too. Might be cool.

Ah great to hear it! Really glad it's resonating with people :D
I loved part one so much and I've been waiting for this one! these pixelated adventure games are my absolute kryptonite.
such a good game, I'm excited for where the story leads next :)
So glad it's updated! How do I pick up from where I left off
you can just unzip the new version into your original folder. (Or copy across the .sav files from the original)

I've been looking forward to this. Part one was my favorite adventure game thing in...I don't know, a couple decades? Thanks, man. Good stuff.
Aww, thanks so much :)
DUDE i'm soooooo into the story, I freaking pumped for the update on the rest of book 2

Well done so far, I look forward to the completed version of the game!

Excellent game, very much in tune with the first part.
