The Drifter - OUT NOW on Steam!
The long wait is over!
It's been a minute since I started work on The Drifter! It really started with Peridium here on itch.io back in 2017- since people seemed to dig that, so from then on I really wanted to make a full length adventure game in the same style. It took a couple of years before I actually started on it, but The Drifter's it's been my full time project since about 2019. Doing all the other little games for itch has kept me going though!
For the moment I'll just have The Drifter purchasable on Steam, (well, GoG too) so I'm not spreading myself too thin. But I'll leave Chapter 1 up here on itch for people to find. So head over to Steam if you're keen to get stuck in! There's a 15% launch discount and you can grab the bangin' OST as part of a bundle too!

Wait... so are the rest of the chapters going to be available here too or not? (I'm going to buy them here if possible)
Because fuck Steam. :)
Why fuck Steam?
Because some of us like owning our games instead of renting them for an undisclosed amount of time.
I have hundreds of games (almost 200 on GOG alone, let alone retail copies!), yet I do not have (and never will have) Steam.
Currently, I am playing some of the games made in the nineties that I didn't have an access to back then. That's 30 years ago. Good luck playing today's Steam games thirty years from now on without some sort of DRM-removal, if even possible.
There are hundreds of great games I've played that I would never even heard of if it wasn't for Steam. If you care for something like owning games that's fine, I personally don't care. For what I care is the marketing for these small games and any future game I will make, for what is Steam superior in any form than any other marketing platform on the Internet. So in that case I don't think we should fuck Steam. Also, you can't tell the future, so in 30 years yes it can go that way, or Steam could get even better. It could even bring those really old games you are so fond off.
"I personally don't care"
I've stopped reading after this part. Goodbye.
Okay, goodbye and good luck in life with that toddler attitude.
Looks really good!! Might get it next month
Picked this one up out of curiosity. Didn't even know you were the guys behind Peridium at the time.
Oh, boy, this is gonna be a ride, isn't it? I just hope Mick gets a happier ending than James.
Allready in my steam library:). Absolutely loved the demo can't wait to play the game.
