Oh no! I've had a few reports of problems with this game over the last few years. Maybe just the particular unity version I was on at that point or something. I never found any obvious bug...
That was SO much fun! The dialogs are funny, the color palettes are amazing the plot is interesting and the voice acting is perfect! Dr. Victor Bernhardt reminds me of E. A. Poe for some reason. Not sure if that was intentional or it's just me.
I figure this is pretty much a technical demo for PowerQuest, but the very constant problems with the lagging almost defeated the purpose... Luckily I stumbled upon Loco Motive right after and I changed my opinion about the engine.
In any case, entertaining point and click adventure, short enough, not too challenging but with a nice Frankenstein backstory, decent pixel art and hilarious dialogues and voice acting.
Ah someone else had that issue, I think I just messed up the settings for the VO lines so they take ages to load for some people, since I haven't had the issue on any other projects... It was a game jam though, def not intended as a tech demo ;)
Yeah, so.... I was really excited about the game at first, even when it constantly lags but I just gave up when I read that I would have to start the game from the beginning due to the "crowbar" (s. below in comments) bug - I don't have time for that, it's just dissapointing and irritating. I would gladly start the game once again when it's fixed. At this point it's unplayable in my opinion.
Hey, it's great as always. I will say though, I've hit a bug to where I've already knocked out Ms. Cock, and the professor was confronted by Coatrack but I hadn't gotten the crowbar yet. I've been stuck on it for half an hour and am pretty sure I can't continue. When I click on the professor's door the protag says "He seems somewhat putout" ect. I need the crowbar to advance, yet cannot contact the professor.
Hmm, it's possible. Though I thought I fixed that bug way back. So you can't enter Marburys room anymore? You should get the crowbar when you look at the arm on his desk (from memory).
Yeah, it wouldn't let me through the door. Originally I had entered the professors office and spoke with him but didn't click on anything. It's been a week so the details are hazy but I remember not wanting to advance yet so I left his office. After leaving the hallway to a different room and coming back to the hallway the "Oh I know him, he murdered me." event triggered. If there's a way I can give you an event log let me know. I really want to finish it, but I'm gonna wait a bit so I don't just click through the dialogue trying to get back to where I was, instead I'd like to experience it fully again to give it a fair chance. I love your style and I miss these kinds of games. Thanks for the great hours, the laughs, and reliving my childhood.
Ah, yeah, I found the problem, I'd stuffed up the logic (assumed if you look at the arm, you'd also talk to Marbury about it). I just patched it, but unfortunately you'd have to play again from the start to get out of the broken state :(

"what character did Adrian Vaughan voice in this game?"
yes
It's a one man tour-de-force!

I fixed that bug back when that below comment was made, so it *shouldn't* be happening to you...
